Ayurvedic Pizza Recipe

Some master chefs have made even pizzas which were considered junk food in an Ayurvedic manner. This makes even pizza a dish that will be beneficial for health. Ayurvedic Pizza

The recipe is simple and does not require any grueling work on your part.

  • 6 whole wheat flour tortillas or chapattis
  • 2 cups organic pizza sauce or freshly made pesto sauce
  • ¾ cup broccoli florets
  • 1 ½ cup fresh mozzarella cheese
  • ½ lb organic tofu
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger powder
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • Oregano to garnish
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Steam the tofu and broccoli till they become tender and add salt to them.
  • Blend these in a blender and keep them aside.
  • Take a separate fry pan and roast the whole wheat tortillas for about 40 seconds on both sides over medium heat.
  • Make fresh pizza or pesto sauce and keep it aside.
  • Take a pizza pan and place three tortillas on it.
  • Spread a thin layer of the mozzarella cheese on each tortilla and then keep a tortilla on top of each of these. This will make the crust thicker and easier to eat.
  • Take some olive oil and brush the top of the tortilla then spread a layer of pizza or pesto sauce. On top of this spread the tofu and broccoli mix the layer should be thin and spread over the sauce.
  • Over this mixture spread the remaining cheese on all the three pizzas garnish with olives and a pinch of oregano.
  • Place these three pizzas in a 350 degree F preheated oven and bake till the cheese melts which will take about 10 minutes.
  • Take out the pizzas and cut them into pieces of the size that you want.
