Arochakaghna-As tikta rasa is vayu and aakasha mahabhoot pradhana ,it performs the action of langhana.And langhana is the main treatment for Arochaka is a Lakshana of Rasavaha srotas. It digests wastes in Rasadhatu i.e it performs Pachanakarma. It removes the coating on Jihva by its laghu-ruksha guna.
Krumighna– Krumi are mainly developed in wet climate and Katu-Tikta-Kashaya Rasa are necessary to destroy such climate in the body. This action is called as prakrutivighata.
Deepana-To kindle the jatharagni,vayu is required. Samana vayu helps to keep Pachakagni in equilibrium condition by its composion( Vayu-AakashaMahaabhoota).
Pachana– Laghu-Ruksha guna of tikta rasa ,and vayu-akash tatva, it helps in the digestion of ‘Aama’.
Lekhana-Excessive Dosha especially KaphaPitta andMala are scrapped or expelled from the body by ‘Lekhana’ karma. Excessive Meda-Mansa Dhatu are mainly scrapped by this action.
Upashoshana– Laghu-Ruksha Guna and Katu Vipaka of Tiktarasa along with its panchbhautiktva (vayu+akash) absorbs different fluid and unctuous parts in the body. Fluid present in the body in the form of Kleda-Meda-Vesa-Majja-Lasika-Pooya-Sweda-Mootra-PittaShleshma etc.Thus these all are absorbed by Tiktarasa.
Stanyashodhana – Upadhatu of rasa is stanya.Rasadushti leads to stanyadosha. And tikta rasa helps in purification of stanya.
Sthirikarana – When Kapha is vitiated by Dravaguna due to Atiyoga of Madhura – Amla – Lavana rasa the whole body becomes lax, flaccid or loose which can lead to Kaphapradhana vyadhi. Laghu-Ruksha guna of tikta rasa and it is composed of Vayu-Aakasha Mahaabhoota absorbs excessive Dravatwa in body and recover the laxity in body. Rasa-Meda-Mansa dhatu are main places of Kapha. So it removes laxity in those Dhatu making them firm, stable and to improve their tone.
Jwaraghna-Tikta rasa ,due to the dominance of VayuAakashaMahaabhoota belongs to the Langhaneeya group and langhana is the best treatment for jwar. It is Sheeta veerya in nature hence causes the pacification of pitta dosha.
Moorcchaprashamana-Moorccha is the sensation of fainting. It is related to the Rasa-Rakta-Sandynavha srotas. In the treatment of Mada-Moorccha,Tikta rasa is indicated.
Dahaprashamana – By its Sheeta veerya,it is indicated in dahaprashaman.
Kushthaprashamana-Increased in kleda and dravata results in laxity of Dhatu mainly in the Twak-Mansa-Shonita-Lasika and leads to vyadhi called as kushtha. Tiktarasa being composed of Vayu-Aakasha Mahaabhoota, by Laghu-Ruksha guna reduces this laxity to cure Kushtha .
Vishaghna-It pacifies Visha of Kaphapitta origin especiallyof Garavisha origin
