About Fibromyalgia Disorder-

Fibromyalgia is a disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain accomplished by fatigue, sleep, memory and mood issues. It is believed that fibromyalgia amplifies painful sensations by affecting the way your brain processes pain signal.

Other symptoms include debilitating fatigue, sleep disturbance, and joint stiffness. Some patients also report difficulty with swallowing, bowel and bladder abnormalities, numbness and tingling and cognitive dysfunctions.

Symptoms sometimes begin after a physical trauma, surgery, infection or significant psychological stress.

Women’s are much more likely to develop Fibromyalgia Disorder than men.
