Anguli Pramana –As per Ayurveda
Anguli means finger.It is calculated on the basis of Swa anguli pramana.By using anguli pramana length,breadth and circumference of structures of body are measured.
In Vimanasthana of Charaka Samhita measurements of various parts of body and structures is explained.(charaka vimanasthana-8)
According to Acharya Sushruta,the height of sarva shareera is 120 anguli,while according to Dalhana who is Tikakar of Sushruta Samhita tells that this height of sarva shareera with raised condition of both upper limbs.
Vyama of shareera means the distance between right and left fingertips in complete abduction position of arms.

Importance of Anguli Pramana-
It gives the correct idea about the measurement of body parts .Normal proportion of body parts is the sign of good health.
