For healthy life equilibrium state of tridosha is required.Increase or decrease in dosha leads to the vyadhi formation.Dosha vriddhi is defined as increase in the dosha either qualitative or quantitative or both. Dosha vriddhi and kshaya lakshanas are decribed in all brutatrayi.
Pitta Vriddhi Lakshana-
पित्तम (वृद्धं तु कुरुते ) // अ .हृ .सू ११ /७
Pitta when increased it leads to fallowing symptoms-
Pitvinmutra-netra-twak- Yellowish discolouration of faeces,urine,eyes and skin.
Kshudha- Excessive hunger
Trushna- Excessive thirst
Daha- feeling of burning sensation
Alpanidrata- less sleep
Along with Sheetakamita means desire for cold things and Indriya dourbalya-weakness of sense organ also seen in Pitta vriddhi.
According to Sushruta ,along with above lakshanas,Pitavabhasata,santapa and balahani is also seen in Pitta-vriddhi.
Aashtangasangrahakar explain the lakshanas like pitatwak,glani,ojovisramsa,mukha tiktaand krodh.
Moorcha and balahani lakshanas were explained by Acharya Dalhana.
Pitta Kshaya akshana-
पित्ते मान्दोनलः शीतं प्रभाहानिः /अ .हृ सू ११ /१६
Pitta when decreased it leads to fallowing symptoms-
Mandonila-weaken the digestive fire
Shit- feeling of coldness
Prabhahani- loss of complexion and luster
Aacharya Sushruta- mentioned the lakshanas like Mandoshmagnita and nishprabhata .
Pitta kshaya lakshana described in Ashtanga sangraha is-Sthambha(stiffness/rigid),shaitya,aniyat toda,Arochaka,Avipak,Anga-parushya,Kampa,gaurava and nakha-nayana shauklya.
