The fractions were analyzed for phenolics composition by RP-HPLC and tested for ferric- reducing antioxidant power, free radical scavenging capacity, inhibition of Cu(2+)- induced LDL oxidation, and enhancement of HDL-medicated cholesterol efflux from macrophages.
