Chakra basti is a traditional Ayurvedic treatment that is beneficial if you have bowel syndrome, flatulence, poor appetite,constipation or abdominal pain. the word Chakra basti originates from Sanskrit where Chakra means wheel and Basti refer to a container. Chakra Basti is also called nabhi basti and is applied around the umbilical region of your body. This is because the Nabhi or the umbilical region is one of the marma or vital areas in Ayurveda.

This Ayurvedic treatment includes massage of the back abdomen or chest followed by warm oils placed inside a ring that remains on a specific area to be treated for 20 mins.

This allows the deep healing qualities of the oil to deeply penetrate the tissues, during which time Reiki or reflexology is given.
